i've never ever cried for those kinda people.
those people sitting along covered walkways at bus interchanges, heartland streets...those people asking you to give them a spare dollar for 3 packs of tissue.
but i did that night. she was just sitting thr alone for a while as me and wanlin walked by. and man. pitiful isnt even enough to describe her. she was sitting thr holding out a shrivelled hand, she coudnt be younger than 80. and every now and then she'd shout 'kim zuaaa'..like some kinda bird call. but this was morbid.
then when we walked past again to go home, it was late. and she was now standing in the middle of the wave of human traffic, desperate and trying to earn a few more bucks.
and on the way back i cried my eyes out.
today i gave her 2 bucks. for nothing. for her i guess. get herself a drink or some food. and i'd do it again when i see her again.
hell. dis is crazy. i never do this. but hell. sympathy. empathy. pity.
what the hell are all these damn singaporean charity orgs doing. so much money put in with them, i always donate. why the hell are thr stil these people on the streets.
